  • My name is Luis Ramirez, and I am the creative mind behind Twelve6, a Web Design and Development freelance business that does more than look pretty. I chose the name Twelve6 because it lets me be creative as an individual and as a group when I collaborate with other designers or developers in the freelance world. I have been developing for over 3 years and have found it to be more rewarding each day. Although it is a very competitive world, you never work on the same project twice and different challenges keep you intrigued. I truly believe when I say, “design for today and develop for tomorrow.” By keeping programming up to date and strict you give it the opportunity to grow and be easily maintained as time goes by. The same goes when designing; beautiful, creative, and user-friendly layouts keep your web presence professional and modern as the web changes. I am currently attending school and to be honest I don’t think I will ever stop learning. This isn’t the type of industry that ever stops growing, and knowledge is power.
  • My knowledge extends from strict HTML and upcoming HTML5 to PHP and MySQL driven web sites. Javascript and jQuery are by far my favorite concepts; jQuery does what I belive Javascript alone once set out to do, to simplify the web and make it more accessible. I have had the opportunity to work with iOS devices like iPhone and iPad and develop web apps using jQtouch. I absolutely love learning Photoshop; it’s amazing what you can create and just how fast you can do it. I currently work in CS5 and started with CS4. I also use Illustrator and possess knowledge of Flash but prefer to find alternate solutions to using flash anywhere possible with jQuery and HTML5. I hope this gives you a little insight into what I do and what I know. I hope to be able to work with you on your next amazing project and blow you away. Thank you for visiting.
